About This Content The TRAXX series of electric locomotives from Bombardier is responsible for many of Germany’s more modern freight and passenger locomotives, including the BR 145, now available for Train Simulator. The mainline BR 145 was derived from the prototype locomotive 128 001, built by AEG and Henschel as an experimental high-performance electric locomotive as a test bed for new technology. This prototype paved the way for an order of 80 BR 145 locomotives in 1997 by Deutsche Bahn AG, specifically for medium-weight freight operations on the German rail network. In 2000 a derivative locomotive, the BR 146, was developed specifically for passenger services, adapted for higher speed running; however, over time the BR 145 was also pressed in passenger service, albeit with a top speed of 140 km/h (87mph) but equally capable of hauling local Regio passenger trains. The BR 145 for Train Simulator is available in Deutsche Bahn ‘Traffic Red’ livery as it can be seen hauling passenger services across Germany. The locomotive is fitted with PZB, AFB and SIFA in-cab signalling and driver safety devices, alongside Eurofima passenger coaches. The locomotive is also Quick Drive compatible, giving you the freedom to drive the DB BR 145 on any Quick Drive enabled route for Train Simulator, such as those available through Steam. Also included are scenarios specifically for the Hamburg-Hanover and The Rhine Railway: Mannheim - Karlsruhe routes (available separately and required to play these scenarios).ScenariosFour scenarios for the Hamburg-Hanover route:Simple Controls Training: DB BR 145Expert Controls Training: DB BR 145It’s Snow TroubleNorthbound PassengerThree scenarios for The Rhine Railway: Mannheim - Karlsruhe route:Karlsruhe ExpressRace Day Special: Part 1Race Day Special: Part 2More scenarios are available on Steam Workshop online and in-game. This is NOT a TS Pro item, This is garbage that has been given the TS Pro lable to dupe people into buying it, the only thing ths DLC is good for is a case study for trading standardsIn addition, this is a Freight loco with no bundled freight wagons and even if you use wagons from another DLC it wont help because you cannot change the PZB mode from O, Dont even try using the LZB, the braking curves were drawn by a chimpanzee with a crayon. This would have been a case of just avoid but due to the blatant misselling of this crud, it wins my award for the worsed DLC to ever waste server space on steam.. This loco is very easy to drive, I load it up when I want to relax. Use the cruise control mostly to drive with, just watch the lights on the very good scenarios and you will be fine.. I really can't understand how this is labeled "pro line". These are the standard controls which can be found on every other train, too.. TS PRO? It's a lie in the case of this TRAXX. It's like the basic BR101.. The break system is rather clunky and feels hard to break in single loco setting, otherwise the TRAXX series are one of the best european train that are currently serving multiple central european countries. I rate this DLC 7 out of 10.Ever since the new Inter City coach update, I approve of this, I'll rate it as 8 out of 10 for now, all outstanding issues are fixed.
